I have a Netgear WG302V2 external WAP, and I was wondering how to password protect my Wi-Fi. I can get wireless working simply by plugging the WAP into a switch connected to my LAN interface, but then it is not password protected. How can I configure the WAP using a free interface on my NIC to be password protected using WPA2?

You set/configure that on your AP (Check the "Configuring Security Profiles" chapter of the UG)

Yes! Thank you so much; I could not find the manual for some reason. WPA2 protected network is now up and running. Thank you!

Am I reading this right is that manual from 2006?  People are asking how to setup a AP from 2006?  Looks like is a G AP - people still use that?  I haven't run G on my network in years!!

Is this in a 3rd world country or something? ;)
