Need help forwarding traffic through VPN
-
So, let me say I'm a home user and probably using this completely wrong but maybe someone can help me out.
I'll start with my setup: pfSense 2.3_1 running in a Hyper-V VM as a standalone system, i.e. not in-line with my traffic. Internal network is 192.168.0.0/24 with "WAN" set as .0.10 and "LAN" set as .0.9. The default GW for all the traffic supposedly leaving the system is destined for my router at .0.1 as the default gateway.
I followed the instructions here (http://swimminginthought.com/pfsense-routing-traffic-strongvpn-openvpn/) but once I get everything setup and I change my desktop's default GW to be .0.9 websites still say I'm coming from my original IP and not the VPN IP.
I'm not averse to changing IPs or creating a different network, I just don't really know what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah. Your walkthrough has the workstation behind pfSense. You have it in a triangle.
Give the Hyper-V VM and extra NIC as LAN, and connect your workstation to that and try again.
