    If there is a way to make it actually boot and run - that would be better!

    It depends on the repo, master (pfSense), devel (FreeBSD-ports), devel-12 (FreeBSD-src)

    Update: saw a new update, 22.05.b.20220524.1701, and tried to update from the console. Except for the strange ZFS errors, everything was fine until this happened:

    pkg-static: Not enough space in /var/cache/pkg, needed 111 MiB available 106 MiB

    I increased the ram disk for /var from 256MB to 384MB and rebooted.

    No warning about /var not having enough space, but the update did not happen.

    Increased the ram disk for /var to 512MB and rebooted. Again, the update failed.

    Disabled the ram disk and rebooted.

    Success! Until further notice, I am not using a ram disk for /tmp and /var.

    @gabacho4 What happens when you set both Child SA actions to default and disconnect both sides, then on one side click the connect P1+P2 button in the UI. Do both P1/P2 come up or is it still only P1 that will show? Does the 22.05 side show other behavior then 22.01 with that button? Did you set ChildSA actions on both sides or only on one?

    Today I made another attempt (this time 22.05.b.20220520.0600) and no problem, as if it never existed. 👍

    IPv6 via HE.net
    Removed IPv6 in HA frontend everything works just fine again.

    Then I did this (added checkboxes)
    5271a828-f18b-441c-8c5b-551fd2384973-image.png

    Reboot and add back ipv6 on HA and bam, all working just fine again.

    That is all handled automatically (or semi-automatically on our end near a release).

    @stephenw10 said in release date:

    No, you will not need to reinstall anything that cannot use ZFS or that you don't need ZFS on.

    You will not need to reinstall anything in fact. You can continue to use ZFS on older installs, you just won't be able to use the new webgui boot environment tools.

    Thanks for the info.

    It doesn't seem to happen to everyone, but there is a library we suspect may be involved here. Try pkg delete -f php74-libbe from the console or an SSH prompt and then reboot.

    Rather than have two threads for the same issue, let's keep this all under https://forum.netgate.com/post/1035651

    I posted a potential workaround there.

    @jimp

    That fixed it Thank you

    It just has a weird issue where it says there is a update that is already installed available now, other than that its great so far.

    Thank you I am sure the next update will clear out that issue with that however

    @jonathanlee

    I found the issue, if anything is placed in the "bypass traffic for these destinations" it will disable WPAD, keep in mind I have Xbox one running on port 443 and 80 to anywhere however inverted to not let other devices work like this. This is what resolved this issue for me. All other static IP addresses can not use that port only 80 to the firewall.
