      New to pfSense, but I have everything setup and works fine. It is running on a Protectli 4 port vault with an OpenVPN (ProtonVPN) installed (2.5.2-RELEASE). Set up like this:

      FIOS modem -> pfSense -> PC1/PC2/PC3

      That is, I have 3 PCs each one plugged straight into the vault.

      Everything works fine UNTIL PC1 reboots. As soon as it drops, the other PCs lose access. Can no longer see the WAN, ping the firewall, etc.

      Rebooting the Vault restores everything.

      Seems like I must have something wrong here, but I can't figure out what. Other than setting up the VPN, no special rules or anything.

        You have those interfaces bridged together?

        You have the dhcp server etc running on the first interface?

        When that goes down all the services on it are disabled. No IP address etc.

        Instead you should assign the bridge interface as LAN since that never goes down.

          @stephenw10 I had them bridged, but missed removing DHCP from the first interface. I redid the config with DHCP on the bridge and it works fine now. Thanks!
