      Good morning everybody!
      I recently purchased a device from the sophos xg 85, but I didn't like it.
      I've already been researching a way to install pfsense on it and saw that there is a way.
      Is there anyone who could help me step by step to install pfsense on this appliance?
      Thank you in advance and thank you.

        If I recall there is nothing especially difficult here. You should be able to install to it like any serial console appliance.

        What have you tried?

          Hello Stephenw10 a
          Already tried but what the impression is that the installation does not start, today i entered the bios of the sophos box and put the bot to the pendrive.
          I'm accessing the box via Rs232 cable and there comes a time when the putty screen hangs and not the sequence on inslacao, I must be doing something wrong.

            How did you write out the image? Can you test the USB stick in something else?

            Are you using 115200bps?

            Where exactly does it appear to stop booting?

            Steve

              Hi
              I realized that the pendrive wasn't starting, luckily I did it, however, I came across the type of terminal to emulate pfsense and I don't know which one to choose. The following options were given:
              standard ansi;
              vt100;
              xtrern;
              cons25w.
              Could you help me which one to choose?

              appreciate.

              Sancanari

                You can just choose the default (vt100) there. It's only for the installer anyway, it wouldn't affect the resulting install.
