Is there a site to download previous versions? When I go to the US mirror sites there is a link to "Old" However when I click on the link I end up at a "Forbidden" page. I have tried both mirror sites with same result. International mirror sites do not contain the old link.

        What version do you need?

Generally we only make supported versions available for direct download. If you open a ticket with us though we can usually get older images if you really need them.

@jhparizona here is my advice - if you believe you have some need for "older" versions you should be keeping your own copy of them.

I have versions going back for last release level.. 2.4 for example.. I use to have them going way back.. But then I said to myself - why would I ever ever need these. Its like keeping a copy of windows 95 around ;)

Now if you still had something running 95 ok.. While I might have need to go back a couple of versions to "test" something.. I sure would never be going back to pfsense 2.3 or 2.2 for example, and even now 2.4 is prob not something I would need. Really the only thing you should have to keep is the version your running, once you are good with next version running and everything works.. There really little reason to keep them.. Unless your a "data" hoarder ;)

I keep older versions of plex software for example.. But its only 5 revisions back.. And they come out with lots of versions all the time.. As I add a new version, I delete the oldest one.

@stephenw10 Version 2.3.5 community version. I have an x86 system I was using as a home router. I have had it out of service for a while thinking it may have a hardware problem but switched ISP which resolved the problem. Looking to take my current router out of service (dual core processor) to use as a desktop replacing a desktop that had a catastrophic hardware problem. So....if I could get a direct link that would be great. The current install of 2.3.5 looks like it is corrupted as I am getting several errors and hope a reinstall will fix the issue.

I am assuming the the latest version is 64bit only, correct?

            Thanks, Jim

@jhparizona 2.3.5 would not be something you should be running anyway. Get current.. as to 32bit support.. That computer would have to be freaking ancient for it not to support 64 bit..

@johnpoz That response while true is not very helpful. I am certainly open to hardware donations to bring my network forward. However at this time do not have any other hardware to throw at this problem. I have found a bootable copy of version 2.1.5 so I guess this conversation can be closed.

@jhparizona from 2014-08-27, using freebsd that as well that has been out of support for years.. Not a move anyone should suggest that is for sure.. Glad you got your issue sorted.. But not a good idea by any shape of the imagination.. Running antiquated versions of software on your "firewall" is not something that should be done..

You for sure could pick up something on ebay that would run current version of pfsense on ebay for like $50.. if not less.

Not sure where you live but if there are any computer repair stores or even Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot stores, if you would ask them if they have any old computers that will do 64 bit that they are waiting to sent to the recycler, they would probably give you one just to save them the time, hassle and cost of disposing of it.
Also check the garage sales around where you live, there are probably some computers that folks are getting rid of that they would give you.

@jhparizona Google "free computer". I was surprised at the result. You may find what you need.
