      Hey!
I´ve got a Netgate SG-1100 for a small branch office about 8 months ago and it is giving me headaches since the beginning:
The deployment went smooth, I set up a few vlans & site-to-site VPN - no problems during the first weeks.
But since then I´m getting all kinds of weird behaviour:

      • crashes of the webgui (just not responding anymore while firewall itself seems wo work fine)

      • network connectivity issues (users suddenly can´t access the intetnet for example)

      • site to site VPN connectivity lost (users mostly don´t notice at first, but backups begin to fail - restarting the openvpn service makes the problem go away)

      • random reboots! (see log extract below)

        Line 48: Sep 20 17:28:52 pfSense kernel: ---<<BOOT>>---
        Line 392: Sep 24 11:29:25 pfSense kernel: ---<<BOOT>>---
        Line 721: Sep 27 00:01:17 pfSense kernel: ---<<BOOT>>---
        Line 1039: Sep 30 00:28:09 pfSense kernel: ---<<BOOT>>---
        Line 1453: Oct 4 18:22:24 pfSense kernel: ---<<BOOT>>---

In all of the situations a reboot of the SG-1100 "fixes" the problems - but only for a few days or weeks at most.
I was hoping some pfsense update would maybe fix it, but the last few relases made no difference. Currently it is on 21.02.2.

Hints on how to adress this would be greatly appreciated.

You should upgrade to 21.05.1, the current version.

It should (obviously!) not reboot at random like that. You should open a ticket with us to troubleshoot that: https://go.netgate.com/
