WAN ip redirects to webgui when on LAN
-
I'm trying to set up a website running an examp
I am using a no-IP dynamic DNS service. if you are outside the network and go to the domain (example.com) everything works fine. The port forwarding in pfsence sends all the traffic from the no-IP service over to the computer on the lan network hosting the website. however, if you are connected locally in the network whenever you type example.com(or the wan ip) into a browser Pfsense redirects you to the web GUI login page instead of sending you through the port forwarding and showing the website. I have got a feeling this has something to do with Nat reflection however I believe it to be disabled. Additionally, there is no port forwarding in place that could be causing this.
How do I stop Pfsense from redirecting you to the web GUI login page if you use the Wan IP.

@tobywhiting10 best not to use the wanip, you should setup a host override so that fqdn your using when local points to the local IP.
But if you want to hit the wan and get sent back in you need to setup nat reflection.
