Traffic shaping causes high cpu load

Hello together,

i have setup traffic shaping on a machine with hfsc.

So far so good. It's working an doing it's thing.

But when i take a look under system activity then i can see
that the dummynet task is using up to 95% cpu.

The system runs as a vm under proxmox and the bandwidth peak
is around 80-100 mbits.

Is there anything i can do to reduce the heavy load?
