when pfSense Plus 21.09 release will be available?

@jorgek generally the only official response you’ll get is that it’ll be released when it’s ready. I personally think it may be close but I also wonder if they are maybe working hard behind the scenes to make the 3rd party hardware option available for this release. I believe most all the outstanding issues are resolved. I think that Netgate may have tried to rush 2.5.0 out the door and there were some fairly big issues as a result. Doubt they feel the need to play that game again. Technically they could release 21.09 the last day of the month and still meet their September release commitment.

@gabacho4 it seems this release is closer. I am running the release candidate. 21.09-RC :)

@jorgek According to this Reddit post from a Netgate employee, 21.09 isn't happening.

Boo! There were some bug fixes in 21.09 that I was quite looking forward to. Can we at least do an incremental release to cover the bug fixes that hit in the 2.5.2 release. Currently being penalized for using Plus over CE.

me too. Got the info from another board member here and was totally dumbstruck that nothing got posted here first or anything mentioned about 21.09-RCs.

The 21.09 release has been postponed. There are a few reasons for this such as some issues found in late-stage testing. We want to make sure the next release will be a quality release. There is a high focus on 22.01. We are confident it will be worth the wait.
