-
Hi before installing pfsense the scan to email function on the printer worked good but after installing the pfsense that feature on the printer no longer works but all users can send and receive emailsl. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? I also am running squid proxy

The printer behaves exactly as the 'users'.
That is, I do presume your "users" use a mail client, not some web mail.If a mail clients uses port 465 to send mail, so can do the printer.
They use port 25 ? Ok, why not. Then the printer can also do so.It all boils down to this : pfSense doesn't know if a device is a printer - or a phone, or a PC.
It all comes down to one thing : everything depends on the settings. On all implicated devices.
Typically, users on their devices use the same destination ports as your printer.
I presume your LAN source address are not filtered, and that you did not change the LAN firewall rules.@speck1970 said in Scan to email errors:

That's an understatement.
Make life easier. Use pfSEnse bare bone. Make everything work first.
Then install and activated packages (so you'll understand right away, when things start to not-work, what the issue is). -
@gertjan yes that is so
