      Hi All,

      I am stoked that we now have access to Wireguard and have set up a load balanced tunnel pair to utilize the technology.

      I have to say though that the performance is still not quite what I would expect. Please know the fact that I can even say this is really a good thing in my mind - it means production Wireguard is really close I'm sure!

      I thought it would be useful to pass on my experience and hopefully Christian and Netagte will see this post.

      I was not able to get any great performance/throughput from the Wireguard servers run by my VPN provider.

      All other things being equal I'm getting maybe 1/3 to 1/2 the performance throughput of my OVPN server connections.
      (125-140Mbps OVPN server, 35-45Mbps Wireguard server)

      In fairness I'm not sure if this is the Wireguard implementation on pfSense or setting/config on the Wireguard servers. But I thought it would be useful feedback.

        @icarson without more details of hardware and configuration i’m not sure it’s actionable or useful feedback.
