      hello guys
I make installation of Pfsense using vmware
when I using the GUI interface to make configuration for the pfsense and go to the status menu and chose DHCP server
      I got the followingmessage
(The DHCP Server requires a static IPv4 subnet large enough to serve addresses to clients. This system has no interfaces configured with a static IPv4 address.)
when I config the WAN interface using static ip address
then I lose the connection with the Pfsense GUI

kindly can anyone resolve the problem ?

@john80 You need to put a static IP address on the LAN interface, then configure DHCP server.

You should not run DHCP on WAN... That would provide IP addresses to the Internet...

How are you connecting to pfSense? On LAN? Your other post said you "added" a LAN interface...

Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, and device or disk speed.
