      After I changed my pppoe username, I found that I could not dial in. I checked the interface configuration page and found that the interface number corresponding to pppoe was lost from pppoe1(igb1)-username to pppoe1()-username. after that I recovered it by modifying the ppp information, I think modifying the username should not lose the interface binding information, this may be a bug.

      PS:
      I have two WAN ports that use pppoe, I don't know if this is the cause of the bug.

      systeminfo:
      2.5.2-RELEASE (amd64)
      Intel(R) Celeron(R) J4105 CPU
      AES-CBC,AES-CCM,AES-GCM,AES-ICM,AES-XTS,SHA1,SHA256
      PTI disable
      MDS inactive

        Mmm, that should certainly not happen.

        Where did you edit the user name?

        Are the PPPoE instances on different NICs?

        Was there any other change to the NIC assignments?

          @stephenw10
          I changed the pppoe password on the Interface Assignments page instead of Interface/PPPs.
          The operation process is to change the user name, change the password, but did not enter the confirmation password, click save prompt password inconsistency, after that did not refresh the page, enter the user name, password twice, save successfully, after that the interface loss occurred.

              I replicated this and created a bug report: https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/12498
