      Hi,

I'm new to the forum. Does anyone know if the mulitple NICs in Qotom boxes show up in pfsense as discrete interfaces, or are they switched?

@sequimite discrete interfaces is the most common but can't be sure all are designed that way.
What is the NIC interface specified on the board you are interested in?

@patch, this is the description in the product info:

          Onboard LAN:4 x Intel I211-AT- 10/100/1000 Controller

I just can't tell if they are independent or switched.

@sequimite said in Qotom Mini PCs - Discrete ports:

            4 x Intel I211-AT

Give the Intel I211-AT is a PCIe v2.1 devices on a single board computer, the four I211-AT are very likely to be switch at the PCIe bus and not sit on a separate common bus with a low bandwidth link to the microprocessor chip.

I have no idea if you are asking if they are L2 interfaces or ....
My Qotom Intel-211 interfaces are detected as 4 individual L3 interfaces.

Hi, I bought my Qotom Mini PC in Sept 2018.
Here is the full output of dmesg, if you want to dig deeper.
