I recently upgrade one of our APUs running pfSense 2.2.5 to version 2.3.1_1.

Before upgrading I removed the only package we had installed (check_mk).

Now I'm trying to install new packages but they fail to download.

I don't get any error when trying to install the package, pfsense just sits there are selecting "Proceed with this action? [y/N]: y"

If I ssh into the firewall and run top, I can see a pkg process taking up 100% cpu time.

PID USERNAME  THR PRI NICE   SIZE    RES STATE   C   TIME    WCPU COMMAND
      21866 root        1 103    0 19688K 11792K CPU1    1   1:42 100.00% pkg

They only way I can get this to end is to kill the pkg process.

I can use fetch to download the .txz file from https://pkg.pfsense.org/pfSense_v2_3_1_i386-pfSense_v2_3_1/All/ and install in manually.

Anyone have any idea how I can solve this?
