unbound "sendto failed: No buffer space available"
-
Any idea what can be the reason
I see that a lot in unbound logsI do not see interface errors or mbuf issues etc.
What I notice, this happen only during working hours when a lot of users are connected via openvpn
So my question is:
I this message is general and is related to unbound resource usage (aka when more dns clients do requests to it.)Or is somehow related to unbound serve DNS requests for OpenVPN clients
Any idea ?

I believe this error message is also associated with the use of limiters or traffic shaping in FreeBSD. Check out this thread from 2019: https://forum.netgate.com/topic/144487/unbound-and-traffic-shaping-cause-sendto-failed-no-buffer-space-available.

Yes I have limiter but is for specific ip address, also I try to put firewall accept tcp/udp 53 before limiter rule .. not help
So I guess is some kernel level conflict
Thanks!

You are using CE 2.5.2, right ?
Or the latest non-CE version. -
