Hello clever people of the Forums. Got a SG2100 in as a test bed, been running fine for a while. Updated to latest firmware from previous on stable line and it no longer gives out addresses via DHCP, nor responds on default or the previous IP range.
No worries, thinks I - I'll log in via telnet. Via USB we have the message 2021-12-24T10:55:49.862771+00:00 init 2153 - - getty repeating too quickly on port /dev/ttyu0, sleeping 30 secs
which forum searches indicate I can correct from the GUI, which I can't get into over the network ports of course.

Forced to raise a ticket, only to see the ticket page now has a 'for your comfort and convienience we no longer accept tickets on this page' message.

Troublesome! The device seems to boot fine, and has the default slowly strobing blue light - just doesn't give out addresses any longer.

Via putty, it does tell me when the network ports are plugged and unplugged, just doesn't let me enter any commands.

Advice, creative insults etc recieved with thanks

@davegwynn Quickest thing to get up & running might be to restore the latest version with a saved config.

        • Backup current config
        • Request latest firmware from this new link. Use support level TAC-Lite if you don't have a support contract. As an aside, it seems a bit odd of Netgate to introduce a new request system so close to the holidays etc.
        • Reinstall firmware per these instructions
        • Restore your saved config

@bigsy - Amazing, thanks! I'll log that now. I was gently entertained to see it had been closed down as of a day or so ago as I'm looking for something to sit between microtik / unifi and watchguard etc all in terms of cost and support / stability. Much appreciate the quick response.

Yup, use that page or email tac@netgate.com directly to open a ticket in the new system.
