DHCP Server given as interface IP, not CARP VIP??!!
-
I just noticed... even though I have correctly set every VLAN/Subnet Gateway (and DNS) address to be the appropriate CARP VIP (*.1 in my case), the endpoints all show a DHCP server of *.2 or *.3 for dhcp server (using wireshark or
ipconfig /all
on windows).I can force the DHCP server to be the CARP VIP: under "Additional BOOTP/DHCP Options", add option 54, IP address, and the CARP ip. But that's not a documented way to do this.
Is this a bug, or is DHCP supposed to be assigned to the direct IP's for some reason?
