      Hello fellow Netgate community,
Can anyone help? Is there a way to scan a Netgate 2100 SSD for viruses? A scan that has the ability to scan the full Netgate's filesystem. What can we do to get Clamav to run a quick scan on the device not just the proxy.

Well, you could try a live OS on a USB stick. There are plenty of Linux ones around, though you have to make sure it can work with the file system. Also, it's unlikely you have a virus. Unlike Windows, there are not likely to be a viable virus for BSD. That's certainly the case with Linux. Given you don't run apps the way you do on a desktop system, read email etc., it would be hard for a virus to even reach pfsense, let alone do any damage.

i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.

        I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

@jonathanlee And what antivirus could run heuristic scans on freebsd?
A firewall can and should be tested with penetration testing
Apart from that, an open source system is open to inspection for the ones that dare to do it.

Mmm, you could probably run a scan manually using ClamAV if it's installed and updated.

No idea if it has any signatures for 64bit ARM FreeBSD though!
