Either a weird problem or lack of knowledge, please assist.

At work, our admin advertised pfsense as firewall to me. So i bought a hardware a protectli device, installed everything needed.

i installed it on my network, made the dhcp reservations etc.

then i added Firewall / NAT / Port Forward settings. according to the documentation of the dedicated servers wikis of the developers.

      WAN	TCP/UDP	*	*	WAN address	30000 - 30004	192.168.1.15	30000 - 30004	EmpyrionServer
      WAN	TCP/UDP	*	*	WAN address	7777 - 7778	192.168.1.10	7777 - 7778	ConanServer I
      WAN	TCP/UDP	*	*	WAN address	7780 - 7781	192.168.1.10	7780 - 7781	ConanServer II
      WAN	TCP/UDP	*	*	WAN address	27015 - 27016	192.168.1.10	27015 - 27016	SteamQueryPort-ConanExiles

i have checked with an online port checker tool and got very different results

Port 7777 and 7780 is marked as closed
Port 30000 is marked as open

      But it gets weirder

The server browser of Conan Exiles see's both servers.
The server browser of Empyrion does not see the server.

When i tried to connect via IP, to the Empyrion Server, the game states, no connection possible.
When i tried to connect via server browser to one of the 2 Conan Exiles servers, it connects, but does not finish or does not enter the game.

      Is there something missing?
on my prior device those rules simply worked.

Currently i have set all rules on TCP/UDP just for start.

So the hosts at 192.168.1.10 and .15 are servers you are running for those games behind pfSense?

Do they require you allow ping perhaps?

        Steve
