      Hi Guys,

      Is it, for historical reasons, needed that the LAN interface is the second NIC ?

      This because I have some issues on OpenVPN where

      nic1 = WAN
      nic2 = Management interface/network
      nic3 = LAN

      Could that create some issues ?

      Thanks

        makes no different what physical nic is assigned to the lan.. But pfsense will put the default rule of any any on the lan, and will put the anti-lockout rules there.  Will not auto do this for your opt interfaces.

        Assign the physical interfaces you want to use for your different networks, knowing that lan will get the default rule and anti-lockout.
