Netgate SG-4860, SG-2440 :: what MSATA-length?
-
I have to help a customer to select MSATA modules for his two older SG-4860 and SG-2440 appliances.
I don't have physical access because the appliances are hundreds of kms away from me.
In the manuals I don't find specifications for the MSATA SSDs: which length form factor is fitting here? -

My SG-4860 has a 128 GB Micron M600 MSATA SSD looking at the old order.

Yeah, it's full size mSATA. Which is pretty much every mSATA card.

@stephenw10 @NogBadTheBad thanks!
So is that mSATA/M.2 2280 or ... ?
-
It's mSATA. It's not m.2.

They only come in either full or half length and I've never seen a half length mSATA card. The SG-4860 and SG-2440 require a full length card.

@stephenw10 ah, sure, sorry. Mixed that up. I was thinking NVMe maybe. Thanks!

You can see the sizes of sata that work here. I recently purchased one from amazon for my sg-2220.

Note that the SG-2220 uses m.2 SATA but the SG-2440/4860 use mSATA. The two are not interchangeable.

@stephenw10 thanks for that detail.
