So I just rebuilt my pfsense box, Dell R210 II server with 32 gigs of ram and a (4) 10GE network card. And i had a few issues at an event with my last one with the interface having CRC errors connected to my cisco 2960. So now with this box I was trying to test it out. This is how I did my test. I connected two computers on two different vlans to ensure that the pfsense would run through the router. it did run very well and give me 990 megs almost every time regardless of the amount of streams i used. But when i check the "sh interface" of the port going to the 10gig Internet port of the Pfsense box.. it was an insane amount of "total output drops"

I was wondering if this is another sign of a bad interface. or if this is just how iPerf test work along with total output drops.

So only output drops on the switch interface? Any drops or errors on the NIC in pfSense?

        Flow control mismatch maybe?

I wouldn't really expect to see any issues with a 1G test over 10G infrastructure.
