      To whom it may concern

I installed pfSense 2.5. I configured my proxy settings. When I run Update from the console I get an error message "Unable to update repository pfsense" and "Unable to compare version of pfsense-repo". My nslookup do resolve the domain negate.com from the server.

      May someone please help.

@paull said in Update error: Unable to update repository pfsense:

        I installed pfSense 2.5.

        2.5.0 ?
        2.5.2 ?

Out of the box, pfSense is like any other PC-device : hook up the 'WAN' interface to your upstream Ethernet connection and the dhcp client does the rest : you have an IP, network, gateway etc, and it's connected.

        Not on the (a) server.
Run nslookup on pfSense (console or SSH).
Btw negate.com is not related to the place where the updates can be found.
The update process use A or AAAA records.

You have an upstream proxy ? Sorry can't help you with that.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

          Hi Gertjan

          1. Is it pfSense 2.5.2.
          2. The network interface is configured to use a static IP address, DNS and Gateway address not DHCP.
          3. Yes I did enable SSH and did do a nslookup from SSH.
          4. I did configure using the pfSense proxy by selecting System > Advanced > Miscellaneous.

Seems that this problem occurred in previous pfSense versions as well.
