My SG-8860-1U in production failed (overheated, doesn't power on anymore), so I swapped in a spare SG-4860 I had, and upgraded it to the latest pfSense+.

I had autoconfigbackup running on the SG-8860-1U, but I don't see any way to restore in the menu settings. The SG-4860 was factory fresh, so it was not configured.

Is there any way to get the settings from the autoconfigbackup server and load them onto the "new" SG-4860.

        autoconfigbackup

        Would this help
        https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/backup/autoconfigbackup.html

        Maybe better example
        https://www.provya.com/blog/pfsense-making-automatic-backups-with-autoconfigbackup/

Seems like you were asked to keep/save two keys when activating.

        1: Encryption key
        2: Device Key

Netgate has excellent user support for their customers.
You might want to try to contact support, maybe they can help out.

I would expect the "possible interface difference" between the models would require some "trickery"

Yeah, if you recorded the key from the 8860 somewhere you can just enter that and restore a config.

Otherwise if you entered a Hint/Identifier we can try to find that for you or if you have the 8860 NDI we can search by that also.
