There are a few threads about installing to the 800/1500 series. It won't boot USB without interaction and there is no BIOS serial redircet. So you need to hook up an internal VGA link or boot the serial installer from CF. It's been a while since I tried it though....

          When you say 800/1500, i'ts for xtm8 810, 820, 830 with old cpu lga775 serie or newer XTM800 850 with ddr3 and LGA1155?
a guy explain to me it is possible to boot 850 from USB to Sata adapter and the serial port at the front of the f/w work

          regards

I mean the XTM800/1500 series which are much bigger and more expensive.

The XTM8 series included 810, 820, 830(F). Not at all confusing!

Yeah booting from a USB/SATA adapter could work. I've never tried it.
