So, last night I finally did a clean install then tried to restore to pfSense plus...one has to reorder plus?

@nollipfsense If your NDI has not changed you can reinstall 2.6 and upgrade directly.

If your NDI has changed you need to get a new license.

I am on a roll your own device, no change...how to get the hash key, where I find? Went on the store but, I didn't see it.

@nollipfsense The device ID is on the dashboard:
            2d4cfcef-3988-46ce-a486-ca1558236ced-image.png

Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, and device or disk speed.

The NDI should not change though if it's the device in your signature.

And if it doesn't it will remain registered and you can just upgrade to Plus again.

I went to upgrade, but it does present pfSense plus...would adding a NIC changes the environment?

@nollipfsense If you added a NIC the NDI will definitely change.

@nollipfsense Also of note USB NICs will change the NDI, too. They're not the only thing that goes into the NDI but they're the most likely to cause a change.
