I have a 2.5.2 PFSense router running on and APU, working as expected. I upgraded to 2.6.0 and had some interesting issues that I think must be NAT issues. The customers on this router are behind the captive portal feature but I don't think that would cause this issue.

2 Grandstream HT802 and 1 customer of 50 with a there own google router, most other customers behind this router are using Ubiquiti AirCube's.

I could see the Grandstream's trying to register but they never succeed. The customer switched over his internet to his T-Mobile hotspot and his issues went away, only somethings would work on his network.

I found another APU with 2.5.2 and upload the config backup I made before upgrading to 2.6 and all 3 issues are gone. I compared the config from my backup to the running config on the 2.6.0 router and nothing was really diffrent. Definitely the same firewall and outbound NAT rules.

Have I found an obscure NAT bug 😢
