Hello, I used the webgui to upgrade from 2.5.2 to 2.6. Now I am stuck at boot with this error:

I tried to boot to safe mode with no luck. I am also having trouble installing a fresh copy of 2.6.0 from USB. Seems like the same issue.
Anyone know how can I revert to 2.5.2? I can't seem to fine the media to download.

That ^. You'll end up here.
What are you installing to?
Can you try booting legacy mode?
can't find '/etc/hostid'
is expected output and not the cause here.Steve

After several reboots, pfSense auto corrected itself and I am now up and running on 2.6.0.
I did not do anything other then modify by boot list in the BIOS to only list the internal hard drive (non UEFI listing).

It appeared I could not get the installer to run from the USB. I tried writing the 2.6.0 image using both Ethcher and Win32DiskImager and then setting the USB first in the boot priority.
I keep on booting into the normal pfSense auto boot menu and then pfSense would hang. Odd behaviors but I am glad 2.6.0 seems to be up and running.
This would have to be my first upgrade issue in years. Of course I forgot to remove my two packages (avahi and pfblockerng) prior to the webgui upgrade.
