I've had a couple of instances over the last few weeks where IPv6 routing seems to be going down and staying down. The tell is the lag in browsing where the browser attempts to connect out on IPv6, and then fails over to IPv4 after a couple of seconds. Testing by trying to connect to known IPv6 test sites fails at that point.

All devices and interfaces continue to show that they have addresses, but requests do not seem to be getting out. I tried bouncing the WAN interface and rebooting the cable modem, but neither restored IPv6 connectivity, only rebooting the pfSense box would restore it.

My ISP is Spectrum, I am using an Arris S33 modem, and running the latest pfSense 2.6.0 version. I'm requesting a /56 prefix on the WAN interface successfully, and have three VLANs running IPv6 (a fourth is set up as v4 only).

Has anyone else here noticed issues like this with IPv6 and if so, do you have any fixes?
