      Hey guys,

Curious, will there be a new release of an intel (Not ARM) based CPU security appliance that doesn't have dual WAN like the 4100 has? I have no plans to use dual WAN and something that doesn't break the bank.

I am looking to stick with the pfsense+ and not CE OS.

See here : Inside The Box: The Netgate 4100
        Keep in mind that :

Look also here : Lawrence Systems, (I am sure I saw him doing a 4100 special - but can't find it right now ?? )he spoke about the 4100 and had just one 'complaint' : the labels mention WAN1 and WAN2, but you can use them as a LAN or whatever, these are not dedicated WAN interfaces, there will do what you want the to do.
A router/firewall has no interfaces made for "LAN" or "WAN", or whatever. They do what you tell the to do.

        This :

        is a usage suggestion.

You could use the LAN4 port as your WAN? and all the others as a LAN.
( not the console port of course )
( and you can only one of the two double combo ports )

        Btw :

Edit : and where are the logs ??

Thank you for the reply... I did look up the Lawrence Systems but he did not make a video but made a slight comparison between 4100 vs 6100? That was all I saw.

I will have to make some considerations now that all the ports at independent. That's pretty neat.

I had thought of just building a XEON process rack mount and install pfsense+ (think it only works on Netgate's only appliance? I'm just thinking out loud on other options.

See here : Migrate from pfSense CE software to Netgate pfSense Plus software!

IMHO : get an TAC for a device and install + on it.
