I have a Windows Server 2016 (tech preview) running DNS and DHCP servers; PfSense runs as a Virtual Machine (hyper-v) on the same server.

Now I wish to be alerted when new clients (mostly WiFi, but not necessarily only WiFi) join the local-area network. It turns out that this is a surprisingly difficult goal to achieve. Any new DHCP leases do not appear in the Windows event log, and the DHCP event log is very hard to access. I was wondering whether PfSense might have a function, or an add-in package, that might help?
