      Hi,
Using pf+ 22.01. I am unable to save smtp password for notifications if I test the smtp password first.
UC for failed login for smtp

      1. enter password & confirm.
      2. test the smtp email (it should work)
      3. save
      4. test the smtp email (it will fail)

UC for successful login for smtp

      1. enter password & confirm.
      2. Save
      3. test the smtp password. (it should work)
      4. Leave the page then return to notifications & send smtp email test (it should work)

Mmm, this is not regression, it's always behaved like that, as noted here:
        https://forum.netgate.com/post/111569

As is says there: 'The last SAVED values will be used, not necessarily the values entered here.'

After you test the values shown are not those you just tested with so saving afterwards can replace them with bad values. I agree though it could be clearer.

        Steve
