Hugh CPU Load after Upgrade to 2.6.0
-
Hello,
after updating from 2.5.2 to 2.6.0, pfsense has a very high CPU usage of 20 and higher. The main processes are pfctl, PHP-FPM and dpinger. It is not possible to use the web interface. SSH is also impossible.
We read that the problem existed in version 2.5.2. But that should actually be fixed in version 2.6.0?!
Many thanks for your help.

After installing the patches, the load went down.

What problem did you read about? What patches did you install?
Is the loading now back to 'normal', 2.5.2, levels?

I meant the issue in 2.5.2: https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/12045
I don't remember exactly which patches were installed. System -> Patches

So you installed the patches in 2.6 and now the CPU loading is as expected?
-
Exactly, after the patches the cpu load went down.

You mean these commits?
b5d787d93b3d83f28e87e1f8cc740cb160f8f0ac 0020c845a086766b3315372f006363f8ad76ac54 d97753b5c8f1d32fbcdcbb0d129b49f808245865 3bea7b5b05f200df4cabee12e405b8feade16f0e 89d5cbb82294c8624e66f920d50353057ccab14b
That's shouldn't be necessary or even possible in 2.6.
