Hi I am thinking of using a Super Micro server with an Intel 622 chipset with PF Sense 2.6. I cannot seem to find anything definitive whether this is support by PFSense (Free BSD 12.3). Please let me know if you have successfully installed PFSense with a system that uses the Intel 622 chipset and if you ran into any problems.

      Thx
      Bryan

Look at FreeBSD 12.3-RELEASE Hardware Notes.

Basically almost all Intel chipsets are supported by FreeBSD. But also check the other essential hardware components like NICs or disk controller for compatibility.

          hardware?

It seems that FreeBSD 12 is well supported but with two
              hints pointed to the Hardware.

              • A5 - sSATA (w/o RAID, AHCI mode)
              • B2 - SAS (IR mode)

Actual pfSense 2.6 is based on FreeBSD 12.2 or 12.3
so it should be perhaps support all hardware because
the numbers are talking about FreeBSD 12.
