Dual WAN diferent manage networks
-
Hi,
this seems to be an odd request and I'm not even sure if this can be done or how to do it.Basically, i have 2 different internet providers with static IPs with its own pfsense box, all with different VLANs for different networks.
My idea if possible is to consolidate both networks in one pfsense box with dual wan access but each network will access a specific isp due to the static ips allocated and port requirements.
Can this be done easily ? Are any guides or steps I can follow to implement this?
Ex
network 192.168.150.0/24 will use only ISP1
network 192.168.200.0/24 will use only ISP2Thanks

@rmccas Yep, you can do that all day long with one pfsense box and multiple WAN connections. It's called Multi-WAN and policy routing a network to use 1 ISP provider.
Here's some quick setup how-to's
https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/multiwan/index.html
https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/multiwan/policy-route.html
There's also a TON of youtube videos on how to do all of this as well.

Can this be done easily ? Are any guides or steps I can
follow to implement this?- Set up a gateway group
- Set up TIER1 and TIER2
- choose a load balancing method between;
- policy based routing
- session based routing
- service based routing
- Activate class c net ips will be accepted at the wan setup for not to be blocked by default.
network 192.168.150.0/24 will use only ISP1
network 192.168.200.0/24 will use only ISP2Both will have the same gateway! So it might be since 2.7.0
is out running like you want, but not now, as I am informed. It is also nice to know more about your network and/or devices.Have you two modems in front of the pfSense or one router?
