      Hi Team,

      I am looking to upgrade a pfsense hardware from an old IBM box to a new industrial pc. What is the best way to be able to restore the config from the IBM box to the new hardware please?

        1. Backup the configuration on the old hardware to your PC.

        2. Install pfsense on your new hardware.

        3. During installation of pfsense provide the configuration (by copying it onto the target disk or supplying it during the install), or I find it easier to skip that and during the first boot of pfsense cancel out of the wizard and restore your saved configuration.

        4. During the first boot after the configuration has been restored you will need to reassign the interfaces to the new hardware NICs
