Since pfSense+ 22.05 came out a few days ago, when can I expect pfSense CE 2.7.0 to be released?

I don't think your question is relevant.
pfsense ce 2.7 is under current development.
        Hasn't even entered beta status

        Judging from the open tickets
        https://redmine.pfsense.org/projects/pfsense/roadmap
        won't happen any soon

Pfsense plus 22.09 can be expected some time in November

2.7 most probably will happen sometime in 2023

@netblues: Isn’t there some kind of concurrency between the two? If so, why not? If not, is the answer that the two versions are complete forked from each other?

No they are not forked. (at least up to now)
The plus version has more often updates, incorporates fixes to core product and as the blog says might also have some additional features
Eg Implementation of captive portal is one important change.
IMHO, freebsd 13 is the next big thing,

Its the same base product with different customisations and different release trains. Or at least this is how I understand it is. I might be wrong :)
