adding internal network
-
why when adding network interface to 3 in pfsense always network is unreachable
-
I can add IP on the LAN interface and OPT 1 and I can add DHCP to that IP and the client I want to go to gets that IP, but I can't access the pfsense webgui.
but if I only use the WAN and LAN interfaces it can work fine. -
@ezvink Did you add firewall rules to OPT1?

@ezvink said in adding internal network:
but I can't access the pfsense webgui.
From this new opt1 network? As @Jarhead mentions - what firewall rules did you put on the interface. While lan by default starts with an any any rule, and lockout rules so you can always access the gui from the lan network.
When you create a new network or vlan, there are no rules. So while hidden rules allow for dhcp to function when you enable that on an interface. Nothing else is allowed until you create rules.

There's a lot of history here. Some of which might be relevant.
That additional interface shows as down in the first screenshot so how is it configured in VBox?
If a connected client receives a DHCP lease though it must be connected correctly. In which case it can only really be firewall rules.
