      On the Netgate 2100 firewall, do I need to power cycle to switch from using the Ethernet WAN port to the SFP port? Or should I be able to pull out the ethernet cable and hot plug an SFP module connected to a fiber line? Does the firewall automatically switch over to the SFP port or do I have to change something in settings? Thanks!

        @twillkickers I can't state with 100% certainty but I suspect it requires a reboot.

          You can do it without a reboot:
