      Hi there,
I have a netgate 2100 (pfSense Plus version 22.01) which sends VLAN1 and VLAN2 (trunk) to a switch.
On this switch we have VLAN1 on 2 ports and VLAN2 on 2 ports too
I created a rule that allows all traffic from VLAN2 to VLAN1 in pfsense
A nas is connected to VLAN1 directly on a netgate port
When I connect my pc to a VLAN1 port of the switch, I have a speed of around 100MB/s with the nas, and a large file (several hundred GB) goes through without any problems.
On the other hand, when I connect the pc to a port of the VLAN2 swith, and I copy the same file to the nas (VLAN1), the speed drops to 80MB, and the file stops after about 4-5GB of transfer with an error " 0x8007003B unexpected network error"!!

Do you have any idea about this problem?
      thanks in advance

The speed drop is because when the client is on VLAN1 that traffic is all moving through the switch. When it moves to VLAN2 pfSense has to route all that between the interfaces. That's expected.
