After upgrading from 2.6 CE to 22.01 then 22.05 my GUI shows I have an update to 22.05 and when I check it in updates shows already up to date. Also have squid no longer filtering traffic using the transparent option. Squid is running, but nothing is passing through it.

Your upgrade did not fully complete. Odds are one of the squid processes is stuck in a pkg operation and not allowing it to finish. If you haven't already rebooted, go to Status > Services and stop all of the squid-related processes and then give it some more time to finish the upgrade.

If you already ran the upgrade, run it again at an SSH or console shell prompt with pfSense-upgrade -d.

There are several other threads for similar issues here already with more detail.

So with squid, i found the issue, i had domains in the bypass and it only likes when I have 1 in there, i dug into more and think i know how to fix it, will post once i have found the actual cause, right now I know if i put 1 domain in the bypass the proxy works, if I add 1 more it stops taking traffic. Still digging.

As for Squid not fully updated, would it fix it if I reinstalled the package, at one point i removed all of squid, guard, and litesquid and reinstalled them all after a full removal.

As for update, I will run that command and see whats going on.

@ghostshell So on the dashboard when it checks for an update it shows update to 22.05 available which is the version I am on, when I click the cloud and it takes me to updates it checks again and at that point it shows up to date. I am running pfSense-upgrade -d now.
