      Hi guys,

I have a problem in my carp. Currently tenhos 3 Wans, Lan 1 and 2 Vlans. So far so good the carp works well. With the master and slave operating normally.
My problem is this, when you insert a new vlan on both hosts (Master and Backup) both are putting as master. Interestingly, others are working normal. Rules, VLANs, interfaces are correct. Does anyone know what can it be?

      Thank you

If they both show master, it usually means they are not connected at layer 2. Make sure your switch is tagging the new VLAN on both firewall ports (and if they are plugged into separate switches, also on the trunk ports)

          Hi Jimp

Both are connected through trunk ports enabled for all VLANs from the pfsense

If they are both showing master then what should be the backup (the one with the advskew of 100)  is not receiving heartbeats from the master port. This is almost certainly an issue at layer 2.

You probably want to start another thread and provide more details there.
