Netgate 6100 / 4100 with 10GB/2,5GB compatible to 1GB?

I already have a Gigabit switch with 4x SFP+ ports but those ports don't support copper either. So for me the solution to allow for 10 GB copper devices is to go for an aggregation switch with SFP+ and 10G copper ports. At the moment I am looking at this Ubiquiti:

So the network will look like this:
Internet <=> Netgate 6100 <=> Aggregation Switch <=> Main PoE Switch

@cdturri That’s a really old switch from the previous generation. Here is a more current model that you might consider instead:

@cloudified who cares what generation it is if it fits the requirements? Your option doesn’t have 10G copper. If you look at all the Ubiquiti switches the one I mentioned is the only one that has 10G copper ports plus SFP+ ports in a reasonable price.

@cdturri My apologies for misreading your requriements. I was just trying to help.

The 2.5G ports will link at 1G or 100M but only support auto-negotiation. If you have a device that is set at 100Mb-FD fixed that can be an issue. Really no-one should be doing that but....
On the 6100 you have 10G and 1G SFP ports so you can choose. The 10G ports will link at 1G given compatible modules. As mentioned that isn't most RJ-45 copper adapters. It's also not most DAC cables, they usually work fine but you cannot force a link speed and that is often required.Steve

What's 100M0FD?

A typo! Should read 100Mbps Full Duplex.

No worries, didn't want to sound harsh. Entry level older gen enterprise equipment are sometimes a good choice for advanced home/office use. But I will be happy to be shown other 10 G SFP+ & 10 G copper switches below $1k. Maybe Ubiquiti will update the US-16-XG?

@cdturri Don't worry about it, man. FYI, I'm on that switch page every single day "impatiently" waiting for either the USW Enterprise 24 or 48 to get back in stock!

I did more digging and found a 10G SFP+/10G copper switch below $1k. The Aruba Instant On 1960 12XGT 4SFP+ Switch (JL805A):
