      Hi all!

I am struggling to resolve a domain to a local apache server.
I have put in the host overrides my domain to ip but i am not able to reach the webserver.

      Capture.JPG

      It simply times out.
The odd thing is that it does almost the same when i try to access it with the local ip.
It will take forever, but it loads the site in plain text format. Wich leads me to think there is somekind of firewall nonsense going on.
I have experimented with NAT reflection in my http/https rules. "System default" it loads the site instantly, but plaintext format. "Pure NAT" it does the same but takes forever. But that trigges the rebind attack thingy if i try to access it via the domain.

Outside my local network i reach it just fine by the domain.

Hopefully this was somewhat understandable. Appreciate any help i can get here.

@kimzer so is your host override resolving - you put it in the correct spot, if your using resolver you put them there if you using forwarder you put them there.

        example

@kimzer said in DNS Resolver - host overrides:

          plain text format

That comment makes me think the browser not loading something, like images or CSS. Does the site also use "www" or another hostname, and did you add that host override as well?

          rebind attack thingy

That means whatever you're using is connecting to pfSense not the web server.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
