I finde the CA in my Keychain.
I klick on Connect, and immediately an error message appears
      "A configuration error has occurred."

If i tray to select any CA it says: ```

You cannot authenticate using a certificate because your keychain does not contain any matching certificates. Use the Keychain Management program to import the appropriate certificates into your keychain. If you do not have the certificates required for authentication, contact your network administrator.

Working based on the official Netgate Docu

IPsec Remote Access VPN Example Using IKEv2 with EAP-MSCHAPv2
              and the
"IPsec Export: Apple Profile" function from PFSense+
              on a MacOS 12.5.1 Client

seems to me broken. Tilt. out of order.

                I used the
IPsec Remote Access VPN Example Using IKEv1 with Pre-Shared Keys

                this way the export worked.

That is strait forward, but definitely not what i won't.

@ralph-1 Have you tried adding the VPN connection by hand on the Mac?

I think the issue is with the profile including a self signed cert, at least it was with my iPhone.

Down load and trust the CA and the additional cert first then add the connection by hand.
