WAN losing IP randomly
-
Hey guys I am a pfsense semi-novice looking for some help here. Periodically it seems every few days or so my WAN interface loses its IP address. I do not know what to do anymore. I have a traditional cable modem which I have verified with my ISP is not going down. What happens when my internet goes down I login to pfsense gui and when I look at the WAN interface it either shows an ip of 0.0.0.0 or it will show N/A. The only thing which brings it back is a reboot of pfsense. It just happened again to me today but I actually had to reboot twice. Today when I saw I was down it showed the ip of 0.0.0.0 When I rebooted it went to NA. I rebooted again and had my proper ISP IP. Previously when this occured I would go into logs and gateways and I would see Error no route to host. Today when looking under gateway logs I see nothing oddly enough. When googling this issue or issues similar to mine. The suggestion was made to disable gateway monitoring. I did this and have seen 0 difference. I am at a loss for what to do or what is causing this please assist.

Cable modems…
Rebooting the modem only doesn't help?
Is your WAN interface configured for DHCP?
Having it get 0.0.0.0 is different. It's usually something like 192.168.1.100.
What does Status > Interfaces look like for WAN when it is failed? When it is working?
The System and Gateways logs are other places I would start.
