      Hi All!

Looking for the way to hard reset SG-3100 without login info. Guy who configured it left without leaving any credentials. Tried to use reset button, but seams like it just restarts firewall. Any advise highly appreciated.

@fortis I'm not sure if you can do it without a reinstall.

I would open a ticket with Netgate and ask them the 22.05 firmware (latest) and perform a clean install.

You will need a pendrive and a console cable.

        Links:
        SG-3100 manual
Open a ticket to request the firmware

dead on arrival, nowhere to be found.

@fortis If they didn't password the console:
          https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/solutions/sg-3100/factory-reset.html

          Otherwise, I think reinstall.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

You can still reset it from the serial console if you need to:
