      Hello
I am new to pfsense. Please help me. My windows 10 pro network use to have my plex server on it, but after installing pfsense router(2.6) I can not find the truenas server/plex media server on the network. Its just not there. Is there any thing I can do to pfsense so it will show up my home network. Truenas 12 core with plex media server installed and running. Plex works well on pfsense, I just cant find the server since pfsense was installed. Thanks.

What do you mean can not find, its running on your nas, what IP is your nas - same IP..

You say its working, but then say you can not find it?

If I had to guess to your problem, I would assume your issue is with rebinding and plex.direct.

        https://support.plex.tv/articles/206225077-how-to-use-secure-server-connections/

See the DNS Rebinding section of the plex article.

Or maybe nat reflection? What do you mean you can not find it.. You login into plex.tv and launch your desktop.. Normally just this link.

        https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/

If that is not working prob related to the rebind protection. I have been running plex for years behind pfsense without any issues, if you explain exactly what is not working, happy to help. Can you access plex directly?

        https://192.168.9.10:32400/web/index.html#!/

Where you would replace the 192.168.9.10 with whatever IP your plex is running on.

          Hello
Plex is working and pfsense appears to be working, but the network that I had established between two desktop computers and the nas(truenas 12 core) does not appear to exist or be present anymore after connecting the pfsense router, when I use windows explorer. The wired connection was made so I could transfer files to either computers by wire. When I setup the pfsense router I used a four port 1gb card. That port is the only IP address that I can find(10.27.27.102). I have not been able to find any of the other IP addresses on pfsense that relate to items on the router. For instance, I dont see an IP address for the two computers but I do have an IP address for the port that they are using(10.27.27.30). Just the port addresses for the 4 port card. I dont know were to look for the IP addresses. The nas is connected, I just do not know how to find it on pfsense router. I can access plex from any app on the desktop or on my hand held devices. Before I installed pfsense router, I could go to my chrome browser and type in my IP address for the truenas and login. Know that connection does not work anymore with pfsense router. Is there away of listing the IP addresses of individual items on the router? I have about 30 items(tv's, playstations, lighting controllers.etc.) working on the router. Just no IP addresses.

            Just no IP addresses.

If they had no ip address they wouldn't work, by default pfsense defaults to 192.168.1.1 and hands out IPs via dhcp on the 192.168.1 network.

Look in the status dhcp leases for what your devices IPs are, or look on the devices themselves for what their IPs are.
